PokerStars FEATURES IN A STRING OF NEW MUSIC VIDEOS

ISLE OF MAN, UK – JUNE 2ND 2009 – PokerStars has hit the big time with a starring role in a load of great new music videos which show that just about anyone can become a star in poker – including world-famous rappers like Snoop Dogg and American pop star Katy Perry.
The video for the latest Katy Perry track Waking Up In Vegas features the 24-year-old singer trying her luck at just about everything in Vegas, including going heads-up against Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu. Daniel is shown burying his head in his hands as Katy scoops a massive pot after hitting quad Aces on the river and telling the poker legend to “Go call his mother”.
Katy is also shown larging it up at the Palms hotel – which is about to turn into the “PokerStars hotel” during the World Series of Poker main event  in July.
In the video for Groove On, Russian RnB star Timati and the inimitable Snoop collaborate with a gorgeous FBI agent to nail a card-playing villain  -distracting the crook in a high-stakes cash game while the agent snags vital evidence. The video, which has been watched over 400,000 times on YouTube and PokerStars.tv, features a substantial amount of poker, beautiful girls, luxury cars and villas and, to cap it all, a PokerStars-branded private jet.
The video for Fabolous’ new single “My Time” featuring Jeremih is styled like a film trailer and shows the singer’s homies playing poker with a PokerStars deck – as well as a New York street scene featuring a PokerStars billboard.
Response from the poker community has been enthusiastic about the videos and it seems clear that the music/poker cross-over is about to take off in a big way.
There has also been considerable interest from players about how to get their hands on a PokerStars jet – as featured in the Snoop Dogg video. Unfortunately aeroplanes aren’t available at the PokerStars’ VIP store just yet – but a Porsche Cayman S sports car is up for grabs for anyone with three million Frequent Player Points!
